Love Poem: At the Train Station

At the Train Station

Dark crevices and disposed soda cans,
departing chatter and holding hands,
mold and standing water in the air,
at the train station, again.

Platform spills teary goodbyes.
overcast weather casts dreary dyes,
abandoned sandwiches and eager flies,
at the train station, again.

My love steps aboard the front,
first of every month.
goodbyes are never blunt.
at the train station, again.

The train blows a final horn,
all aboard before the ending scorn,
windows are looked through and hearts are torn.
at the train station, again.
