As Love Takes Hold
As your heart beats against my chest,
its rhythmic waves caress my breast.
And ignoring the rules that mold,
our souls combine as love takes hold.
In love with love, I'm never bored,
for, on its wings, my hopes have soared.
And I don't ever question why;
for feelings are hard to deny.
I am not lonely anymore,
I've found an angel I adore.
And committing his heart and soul,
he leaves me feeling loved and whole.
Trust purges me of fear and doubt,
for that's what trust is all about.
And because love's all that matters,
it's a bond that never shatters.
