Are You Traveling to Oron?

Are you traveling to Oron to be lost
In the mysteries and secrets of Ekpe, the Bermuda triangle
lban Isong, a land deeply rooted in the ocean
With queen of the coast, daughters of mermaid
Of the marine race inhabit this town

A man who visits Oron may never return again
He's forever lost, lost to his lust
The care and beauty of Oron woman hold him captive
Blinded by love
He may never find his way back

As you look at the beauty of Oron woman, you're mesmerized
Her long hair stretches, dangles at the rhythmic witness of her hips
As she passes by, rosy cheeks cover her face
Her gray eyes with fleck of gold and brown
Shines like the eyes of a pussycat,
with long lashes that often winks at your stare

Oron woman is elegant and graceful
Rich in jewelry and accessories
Her barn full of yams, cassava and dried fish
And she knows how to please a man
And make him stay awake all night
Eating hot yam with pepper soup

Oron woman make the best cook
When she prepares Otong
with fresh fish, periwinkle and Iwe Ekpang
Boiled with water from Effiat-mbo river
The aroma so irresistible and beckons
That when a man eats, his head is captured forever

Oron woman can go all the way to trap a man
And tie him down in her own house, on her bed
Not even the priest of the earth can set him free
Nor loose him from the bondage of love
For the man has been immersed in her cauldron, trapped forever
