Are We the Only Ones
As we lie here side by side
Without uttering a sound
We surely realize what love's all about
It's about the sharing of two hearts
Both wishing the moment would never end
Eternal bliss as we drink of love's nectar
What else can even come close
To this exquisite emotion
It's the ultimate expression of life itself
The reason we exist, to feel the warmth
Of another's breath on our naked skin
To know beyond a shadow of a doubt
That our love is being felt and returned
As we lie here side by side
I think to myself, “Are we the only ones?”
