Arabesque - Repost

She crooned her arabesques creating rune-flowers
Wafting sweet promises never kept
Oh moonlight April night
How the fragrance lingers
She yet in mind sings softly in my ear
“I love you”
How she waltzed me round gliding whirling
Oh moonlight enchanted night
Then again she whispered softly in my ear
Lips just touching warm sincere
“I love you”
Oh that fragrance that caress so soon faded
The future promise never kept
Her star-lit presence
Now but soul’s cherished arabesque
