Love Poem: Another White Oleander

Another White Oleander

he says that my kiss is intoxicating
drawing him closer and closer
getting lost in my ocean eyes
and fathomed with excitement

I'm lost in a labrynth
trying to comprehend the situation
feeling remorse for the affair
and engulfed in what will follow.

another white oleander
i'm poison in a pretty package
never hurt because I cause the pain
just a mysterious present that only suggests death.

He says he'll try to be good
he loves the life he has back home
but it's been a long time
and he loves what we have

I'm tearing at my sanity
keeping a tale that shouldn't exist
manipulating a simple position
and complicating two innocent lives.

Another white oleander
I'm poison in a pretty package
Never hurt because I cause the pain
just a mysterious present that only suggests death.
