Love Poem: Another Thought of You

Another Thought of You

Another day, another sunrise clears the cobwebs from my mind
Reaching in to find
Another thought of you;

Another crowd, a pretty face reminds me of your sapphire eyes,
Is it no surprise
I think a lot of you?

     Why do I feel such magic in the whisper of your name,
     For a song by any other name would surely sound as sweet,
     Is this not the name that's engraved upon the key
     That will set free all the love imprisoned deep inside of me?

Another moon, another winter sunset melts into the night,
Enticing me to write
Another song for you...

Another night, another dream of you and then you're quickly gone,
I spend a lonely dawn
Again to long for you;

     Why do I feel such magic in the whisper of your name,
     For a flower by another name would surely smell as sweet,
     Is this not the name that's engraved upon the key
     That will set free all the love imprisoned deep inside of me?

Another week, another letter perfumed with your love for me
Reminding me that there will be
… a time for us.
