Another Sourpuss

another sourpuss

he drank her tangy wine
she broke his bread
together they dined
as they fed
the river of love
from their wells
spouted no doves
time will not tell
two black bears tearing each others fur out
friends at one time, now arch enemies pout
he was on top of her
say uncle, say uncle he spur
she said over my dead body
he said be careful with wishes so gaudy
she gave him a face
wait, you need to be put in your place
say uncle, say uncle
she gave him a knuckle
we pick and choose
win and lose
laugh and cry
live and die
bread and wine
eternal dine
today's gone
live for another tangy dawn
