Another satisfactory day at the piano
2025.4.14
This morning, two things happened
At M Central while playing piano,
And each of them really made my day.
A young Asian woman, waited to speak to me.
She said her name was VL and
Has been coming here for months,
On her way to work and dropping in to listen,
She always wanted to tell me,
My piano music has given her so much joy and relaxation.
I told her, I use this as my therapy,
No professionals could help me any better than this.
She quickly claimed, my music made her day.
She then insisted buying me a coffee,
Finally, I received a bottle of spring water from her.
She added, she will be back from holidays,
In two weeks' time and looking forwards,
To see me again and listen to my music.
I was so happy and continued on playing.
Not for long, a tall thin built figure with an umbrella,
Came around from the baby grand piano,
And stood closed to it near me.
I looked up and opened my eyes wide,
There he was. Sixty eight days since we met.
I greeted him "Ohayo gozai masu,
Long time no see. How are you?"
He shook his head with a smile on his face.
"I am in troubles as always"
He did not go into details,
But smile and said "I always get into troubles,
Because I was always being naughty"
As he spoke, he placed his right hand,
In front of his heart and lightly bowed his head.
I insisted on him playing after me.
What puzzled me most was,
He insisted on we shared the piano's stool.
But soon he stood up and said
He put on weight and better not to sit.
At the end, he kneeled on the floor while watching me playing.
I managed letting him had a go at the piano,
Not before I thanked him for improving my technique.
He proudely said with a smile,
"So I am your teacher now"
He played few bit and pieces of music,
And again, he just looked at me instead of the keyboard.
What pleased me most was he insisted on a big hug
And addressed me with an appropriate respect title.
Meeting with him had really made my day.
Not only there was genuine joy in me,
But also, it helped me to forget
The incident caused by JC two days earlier.
By the way, this well manner young gentleman,
Told me his full name.
But I preferred to call him JA.
It was a great pleasure
To meet and known him.
PS
As soon as I mentioned about my poems writing,
Both VL and JA, expressed their great interst
Of reading our individual meeting.
