Angels and Doves

A snow white dove flew over the house of pain,
Inside the woman's agony grew as her tears rained,
Her husband and family tried to help her through,
But a broken neck is hard to bear as her pain grew.

Angels flew into the window, whispering words to help
As the family dog excitedly began to yelp,
The angels said she would be safe in her husband's arms-
And his great love would keep her safe from all harm.

The dove cooed brightly outside the window pane
While nibbling slowly on the blowing grain,
Children and grandchildren gathered 'round her bed,
In prayer and weeping, they bowed their heads.

Pure love flowed from them to the lady fair
As they thought of the joy felt in her loving care,
The angels flew in often with touch so light
That our lady knew she would soon be all right.
