She left without saying goodbye
I really never found out why
I didn't know she'd leave so soon
It took me completely by surprise
On that cloudy autumn afternoon
I remember when I first held hands
with this girl from a distant land
How my heart she touched
To me she meant so much
And as the years flew by
I always wondered what might have been
Of this pretty girl with the girlish grin
Who went away like leaves 'neath autumn's sky
But she will always be an angel in my eyes
