And To Think, It All Started On a Bus

What started out as a need for conversation,
And a place to prop up my legs,
Ended as SO much more.
And to think, it all started on a bus.

My comfort when I'm unable to go on,
Makes me eagerly await,
Another day, another meeting.
And to think, it all started on a bus.

In comparison, we're quite different,
But somehow, we seem to fit
Oh so perfectly.
And even though that boy's white-
As white can be,
He still can somehow look perfect next to
My wonderfully tan Mocha skin tone.
And to think, it all started on a bus.

This is such an innocent thing,
We've never kissed, only hugged.
But when I'm not close enough,
He pulls me in.
My Rock, My Support.
And to think, it all started on a bus.

Something so beautiful,
Something so sweet,
A person could rarely ever meet,
But I did
And he's mine,
Just to think, it all started on a bus.
