An Invitation

Come into the garden of my love,
For now, it is high Spring there.
My sweet, my darling, my beloved,
Let us indulge in our earthly paradise,
For it's you I love with all my heart,
It's you I cherish above all things.

Your beauty dazzles my lonely heart,
You are my white unblemished dove
That sits upon a sunlit bough.
Let me hear your sweet sighs
That outshines the thrush's song.
You are my one desire, the apex that like
A mountain top that shines and dazzles
With freshly fallen white snow.

You have the power to transform
My dreary house from a poor parlor
Into an infinite space, a depth of blue
That reaches the ends of the galaxy.
All walls of my limited space evaporate
Trees spring up, blossom heavy and fragrant,
Dew drenched and cleaned with Spring's light rains.

So do not delay, sweet dove, to bestow
Your nectarine kisses on my parched lips
That I might, my love appeased, live on.
