An Instant
Is love a fleeting moment in life’s history
for which we strive?
An opportunity for us to make ourselves feel good?
To achieve that state of euphoria which
can render us helpless in the twinkling of an eye,
a smile, touch, a sigh, a look, all of which
can take our breath away in an instant?
Yes, it is that and so much more.
We cry, we fight, we get upset.
We are sad and glad because we know that
in an instant, that fleeting moment which is
our euphoria, will return over and over again,
it is who we are
