An Anger Promise

Explaining this bad attitude
And the way you pout and brood
Is an interesting thing to hear
Right in front of me you stare
In my eyes with such intensity
As I listen to your plea
Asking for another chance
You have a glistening glance
As a tear falls down your cheek
Your sorriness is at its peak
Depending on what you say
Will determine if I stay
We've been down this road before
One foot almost out the door
When your temper starts to brew
Your anger comes shining through
Until you calm down again
I'm intently listening
As you promise this wish grant
'You'll go to anger management
To control whatever makes
You badly shiver and shake
Not sure what is causing this
It's taking away the bliss
We used to know when we first met
An good times I won't forget
