An Angel Sees His Face

He loves to watch her bathe in the moonlight.
The silver light casts an unearthly glow!
In shadowed bushes he stays through the night.

Watching her intently no one can know.
Him, a fallen one entranced by her grace.
The silver light casts an unearthly glow!

A guardian angel without a face.
This night his choice to take on human form.
Him, a fallen one entranced by her grace.

As sky darkens he feels the coming storm.
Tumultuous waves dragging her under!
This night his choice to take on human form.

He screams out amidst lighting and thunder!
Battle for her life lost to raging Sea.
Tumultuous waves dragging her under...

She is taken, now an angel to be.
Battle for her life lost to raging Sea.
She loves to watch him bathe in the moonlight.
In shadowed bushes she stays through the night!

For Debbie Guzzi's Angel Contest.

I exchanged she for he in the last stanza. Hopefully you will allow a bit of poetic licence.
