Love Poem: Amen
Marycile Beer Avatar

Amen

I gaze upon a picture,
Of someone's fantasy,
The clouds are soft and fluffy
And beckon just to me.

The trees dressed in pink and green,
Are the prettiest I have ever seen.
A dirt path tends to wander
Among these magic trees.

Wild flowers poke their heads up
Around rocks here and there.
While a sense of peace
Fills the morning air.

Absorbed in this peaceful scene
It makes me want to sit and dream
Of children running safe and free,
No wheelchairs or crutches can be seen.

I sit and laugh,
As they play Hide and seek,
One think he's hidden
As he hangs by his knees.

The girls play Hop Scotch,
And may I please,
Johnny plays King of the Hill,
Under the trees.

Soon little creatures gather 'round,
Sit and watch without a sound.
Mesmerized by the happy scene
More precious then becomes my dream.

A scene made
By God's own Hand.
If all the world,
Could be so grand.

Amen
