Amazing Grace
As is true in so many places,
in these parts, there is much
to touch and warm the heart.
Some like it hot; others, cold.
Some like it quiet; others, loud.
I prefer lukewarmness and quietness.
This early morning, there was a sound.
The clock released a tune which it does
every hour on the hour. This morning,
I'm up before dawn and the time is 4 AM.
The tune from our beloved clock this hour
is 'Amazing Grace'.
I listen to the condensed tune and think about
the couple who gifted us with such a beautiful clock.
I then pause to consider how good God is and the
good people that He has brought into our lives.
A singing clock from lovely people is what The
Doctor ordered for me this early morning.
