AMANI: Apropos Of A Canine Angel's Living Homily

              AMANI
(Apropos Of A Canine Angel)

Like terrestrial river,
You flowed into our lives
With waves of joy, love,
And supreme happiness:-

Few, if any, human entities
Brings the healing warmth
You have frothed upon us:
Always keenly being here,
With sweet eyes, open ears,
And that ever waving wand:-

Who would have ever thought,
That when you were rescuing you,
That in the end, it would be you,
That came to rescue us?
You, rescuing us, in dealing with
The chilling trials and tribulations
That aged life has cast upon us:-

Indeed, without a shadow of doubt,
You have been a God-sent healer;
A canine example of the Master’s
Lessons of being in, and of service:-

Though they call you a Service Dog,
To us, you are our fur-baby of love;
And for your angelic presence, Amani,
We daily thank God for your allegoricalness:
One best services God, by being in, and
Service those in need of labors of love:-

Thus, when it was said
That your days were numbered,
And that you should be cremated,
We said, No! Let her be crucified,
And ascended into canine heaven:-
And here we are, three months later,
With you here, licking and rubbing
Our dirty, and yet, earth-bound feet!

Thus, be this living homily to you,
And wolf, wolf, peace and love,
To you, with thanksgiving grace,
To God, the Father, the Son,
And the Holy Ghost, for the
Onederful oneness of you,
Mommy and me, in the
Onement of God’s love:-
