Love Poem: Always

Always

In the deepness of my solitude
is when I dare think of you
Locked inside my broken heart
your love from me never will depart
Forlorn our love by other hands
always our love forever stands
Like a fish in a dry pond
I slither away life prolong
by dreams of dreams of loving you
It is all my soul has left to do
Time is eternal, will love ever die
Will mercy kill love so time abides
Rouse my fear contemptuous
scorn my pain as silly lust
Secretly I knock at your hearts door
my lips utter, forevermore
My love for you is how I survive
always to live always to die
Callous mocking by those who hate
my sadness they only exacerbate
Taste the sins life tries to hide
swallow hard that selfish pride
There is no reason whom we adore
only always wanting more
