Alone - 5 Word Contest
we could see him walk the shoreline
tears were flowing, mouth forming words,
longing for the nearness of the one he loved
his life he felt, was cursed.
told us the loneliness was deafening
silent words of love not used.
wanted to resurrect the times...which
were in his head, leaving him bruised
now each day is a challenge
fighting those demons within
that kept reminding him...how beautiful
how so in love...they both had been
she didn't want to leave him
no time to say goodbye.
was a drunk driver who mowed her down
leaving her to die.
