All Is Not Lost

My crown is called content, a crown that seldom kings enjoy. - William Shakespeare Summertime skies, the clouds passing on by Revealing silhouettes in timeless mists Smiling, risking dreams like the butterfly Wisdoms melting vibrant wing’s gentle twists Smokey skies, graceful so hearts can’t deny Rains beckon as the best of life persists Trembling truths fall from the cobalt prayers Erasing doubt that brings hope to nightmares Shadows blend with the summer’s tender kiss Breathing laughter into listening ears There’s no kindness more beautiful than this Singing softly through melancholy tears Through summer’s silence, hearts will reminisce Poetry much wiser than Shakespeare’s Steadfast wonders in the hush of the light Falling easy, murmuring all is right Bleeding psalms to praise the One who made me My heart adores, through summer’s evening song Hope, faith and love, revealed on land and sea Assured of God, whose powerful and strong Steadfast in my heart, so that I am free Summer is gone, but I know I’m not wrong To love One who lived and died on the cross Thanks to Him, I know my life isn’t a loss!
