Love Poem: All Alone

All Alone

Watching the sun rise in the morning
is a beautiful sight to see.
The air is cool and the breeze is light,
	but there’s no one here to see it with me.

The birds are singing and the grass has dew;
I see a squirrel climbing a tree.
The clouds brighten as the sky fills with light,
	yet there’s no one here to see it with me.

I hear crickets chirping and a bull frog croak
and on a flower lights a bee.
The land is waking up to start a new day,
	but there’s no one here to see it with me.

I once had a love who would sit with me
to watch nature deliver its bounty.
And while the sight is beautiful, and always will be,
	now there’s no one here to see it, but me.
