All About You
Hello everyone!! So I'm gonna try to post another 2 poems for my upcoming poetry book "BROKEN HEARTS ARE NEVER EASY", here is my 2nd poem, "All About You" by yours truly, please enjoy!
As I look into the past,
And I re-read our chapters,
I look at our "picture of love",
Our moments of what true love looks like.
I see the truth...
I am supposed to see a loving couple,
Who are "happy" together,
And love one-another.
I was happy,
But not for me,
For you...
It was all about you,
Your happiness,
What you wanted,
And all the lies...
Pretending to put a smile on my face,
And believing that everything was perfect.
Until I realized,
That my happiness was false,
Nothing but a lie,
Because it was all for you...
