Love Poem: After the Storm

After the Storm

Those heavy dreams have turned to light with joy laced up inside.
With mighty tugs on my heartstrings I'll sail against the tide.

Now you are here to help me fly on silver-painted wings.
Perhaps I'll flinch but I won't fall-my heart's a bird that sings.

When I am plagued with circumstance that darkens up my door
I'll take your hand and rise so high I'll never touch the floor.

You are my window to the world , my anchor in the storm.
When cold rains hover over me you wrap me up so warm.

That dark place I was living in before you came along
has vanished in the mists, now let me weave you into song.
