Love Poem: After Death

After Death

And if after Death decides to blow my candle out
I step up there where clouds sing
And winds laugh
There where rainbows act out powerful dance moves
There where grass grows merely for the sake of love
And dies when deprived of it
There where I was once,
Before my fall into Earth's womb!

Why, if after the strike of Death
I step up back there
Only to feel the same emptiness gnawing at me
The same hurt pricking at me
The same agony rolling itself all over me
The same story which wants to be written
But which I choose not to
As it did not turn out the way I thought it would,
Why,
Would it be worth to keep on Existing?

Existence relies on two things;
The body and the power which animates it,
The body and its consciousness
And I,
Remain the subtle power which drives this power,
Spawned somewhere back at the beginnings of Time
To be there where I was meant to be,
In Love's heart!

Pray, deprived of Love's warmth,
I become useless,
A burden, even,
For the whole cosmos
And for myself!

I live, I breathe the air that I have to share with the rest
I require water, I produce wastes,
I use and abuse, without really being of great use
I be, for a void purpose
I be, for no reason!

Better then would it be to cease to be
As, even if I choose to be made of matter,
Matter needed by Earth to sustain her children,
I still would feel the harshness of life claw at me!

Inexistence is what I pray for,
May the Gods heed me
I do enjoy the luck of feeling their blessings upon me
Yet,
Without the fulfilling of my cause
The burden that I become
Is as painful as is the feel of fire
Raging over my whole body!
