Love Poem: African Queen

African Queen

Old Charlie ran a river boat,

With naught but love to keep afloat.

Still, his courage was but equal to his heart,

And he gave both for her safety, from the start ...

Now, Dear Rose was prim and proper,

Yet, not hell or flood could stop her,

And amidst the storms of war, she fell in love ...

With Old Charlie, the knight sent her ... from above.
