Love Poem: Adrift

Adrift

it leaps as if another world was dawning

My smile fills a cavern of emptiness
left to carry the loss of you

I see
Reflections only of
Pure Loveliness

Silk strokes of heaven
Smooth
Curves surround my void
Holding me
Together I am one with you

hands cascade across this body
and it is your touch I feel
inching its way into my dream
unseen for too many moons

I all but blink and ...

The bath has turned frigid
Resting where
Flickers of light once had blown
Rings of rust are all that's left
Rushed emotions entangled
Fade

Crisp the night again
My mind has gone adrift
