A Tale of Immortal Love Part Iii

But working too much made him weary,
He suddenly wanted a family,
Though the right woman he could not find-
But the one he left behind.

And so he went home rightaway,
Rushing his feet, hoping to see,
The woman that he then ignored,
Thinking it’s time to make a move.

But the heart that yearned was already late
For Janet had already left
Into a place nobody knew
Like wind that shunned the morning dew.

He longingly tried to find Janet
But Janet was nowhere to find,
Not even her closest friends
Knew where Janet went.

And when they finally met again
The hand of Janet was already taken,
His mind was numb, his body was shaking,
His soul has bled, his heart was aching.

But there was no other to blame,
It was his fault, his fault again,
He was so dumb to leave a diamond
For he was so engrossed to find a gold.

And so he spent the years that came
Waiting and waiting for Janet’s return,
But Janet was so really gone,
Her freedom was not to his command.

The man Roger was so lonely,
He missed his Janet everyday,
Until the dreadful news had come
That Janet was forever gone.

Janet was forever gone to paradise
Crossing the wild river of no return,
Her lovely face would not be seen again
For years and years and years to come.

The heart of Roger was hurt again,
He was so lonely beyond compare,
For he could not fathom the sadness
That Janet felt for all those years.
