A Prayer For My Husband

I pray that someday I might see,
the one I love serve God.
That in days and years that follow,
he'll walk the way you Lord, have trod.

I pray that through some little child,
his heart might soon unfold.
That should our end soon come,
he'll walk with me on streets of gold.

You know he's not a bad man Lord,
he has morals that are high.
But he hasn't been born again,
and before it happens he might die.

This Valentines day would be my best,
if I could kneel with him at an altar.
Praying for forgiveness and daily strength,
that his footsteps would never falter.

Your plan of salvation is so simple Lord,
that good men often don't see.
Hear my unselfish prayer,'whatever it takes",
that would cause him to come to thee.
