A Night of Fireworks

It was summer, I was seventeen, as I held your hand
Bubble gum sweet kisses as we sat waiting for the show
People all around, eating hot dogs, enjoying the band
Delighted we are now a couple for the world to know

Bubble gum sweet kisses as we sat waiting for the show
Loud Smoky bangs as the sky lit up with red, white and blue
Delighted we are now a couple for the world to know
We enjoyed the show as I felt my own fireworks for you

Loud smoky bangs as the sky lit up with red, white and blue
People all around, eating hot dogs, enjoying the band
We enjoyed the show as I felt my own fireworks for you
It was summer, I was seventeen, as I held your hand
