A Lover's Dance

Two souls search for Paradise
pay their heart's price of sacrifice

feel their soul's shimmer beneath starry skies
find quiet realms in their lover's eyes

passions to explore make their hearts churn
sweat from tossed hair scorches and burn

ivory stars in the heart of the night
silhouettes dance in moonbeam's light

candles melting in porcelain holders
shadows flickering upon their shoulders

nothing to teach, nothing to learn
fall into arms without concern

rendered illusion in soft splayed light
wondrous dreams come with the night

eyes turn tender molded and chained
prisoners of love unrestrained

eyes softly close, a space to rest
refugees in dreams an invited guest

sweet fragrance from a breath of love
moon rising, stars above

whispers from lovers turn a soft sigh
and found Paradise, with a love they comply
