You gave me a sunny day
When drenched in rain in May
As the sky fell on my head
I needed a niche under a shed.
The day held my lone hand
Took me to an emerald island
Where the sun shined on the slope
Told me don't lose hope.
When the full moon passed me by
Stardust showered from the satin sky
The whispering breeze of ecstasy
Told me you were not far from me.
Sweet spurt of spring fragrance blew
Draped me with the yearning hue
With the gifted day joy in me grew
I found in me fathomless fervor so new.
In the spectral flair of the sunburst sky
My love grew wings to fly
In the rippling air and soar far away
With you on this lovely day.
