A Love Prayer

Dear Lord…
I would first like to thank you for all the blessings you have given me.
Without you, I am nothing but a sorry sinner…
I know you won’t put anymore on me than I can bear, but my heart feels as
though it is on life support and the only way to heal it is LOVE.
I need real love to come and rescue my life…
To ease me through the pain and strife…
And I’m not meaning a wife…
Just someone I can talk to…
Whenever I’m going through…
Someone whom I’m willing to put up a fight…
Someone to let me embrace her on a rainy night…
A woman that will fulfill my needs…
One that, for her, I’ll always do good deeds…
A woman that is worth my tender loving care…
A woman that will allow me to be her cuddly teddy bear…
A woman that is not caught up in the stereotype…
One that I consider the prototype…
Note I said a woman, and not a girl
Because girls are not mature enough to be in my world…
One that will also allow me to please…
One that is willing to give me the keys…
To her heart, and plant that seed of relationship…
A woman that is not full of it...
Excuse my tone, As you can see I’m hurt.
After finding out some dirt…
You know the girl that I considered a top candidate…
Till she slept with a friend of my roommates…
But you did bless me with a beauty…
Even though it was just about the booty.
But I’ve learned from my struggles,
And I promise today…
If you send me an angel, I won’t let her get away.
Lord I ask that this will be in your will…
In your son, Jesus name…
Amen.
