A Light In the Dark

Have I ever told you that…
Your embrace is like a whisper
In hues of crimson and lavender
	Coloring me with passion’s breathe

Have I ever told you that…
Your touch sighs across my soul
Capturing songs of wisdoms untold
And dancing through my heart’s love

Have I ever told you that…
Being with you makes my world better
A place of delight, joy and enlightenment
Free to be me without any secret mysteries

Have I ever told you that…
Your smile lights up the morning with hope
Your voice inspired me to look beyond my thoughts
Into the world where I’m told I’ll keep growing

Have I ever told you that…
You’re my harbor in the raging storms
You’re the one I know will always be home
When I’m out in a world filled with concern

Have I ever told you that…
Your heart is like a truth I’ve always known
Sent down from heaven to be my one promise
For a better place to be when I’m so alone

Have I ever told you that…
You’re amazing, awesome and alive with kindness
When I need peace, you’re the answer for quiet
A silent acceptance that grants me true grace

Have I ever told you that…
Your worst moments are never as bad
As it would be if I had to be without you
The one who makes me feel like I always can

Do anything, be true to love and take whatever comes
With assurance that You will always be there, a friend
Until the end, forever and always, a home for my heart
When no one else is there, I can depend on your hand
To guide me and enlighten me and be open with love
