A Joke On Someone's Own Behalf

You have no idea, who I am,
however, for you, I'm here, to entertain.
I'm just a mere joke, for you, to mock
to bring forth, more fans, for you, to gain.

Why must I be your target,
what did, I ever do, to you.
To be treated, less than human, like my feelings,
don't count, when only your feelings, then do.

Afraid are you of what you don't understand,
of whom, is different than your very own being.
Still doesn't give you the direct right to make fun,
of those, in life, you don't really want to be seeing.

Wise I become to realize this, and stronger,
in myself, to walk with my head held high.
I have pride and the inner love, of myself,
no matter, what you do, my spirit, I won't deny.

So go ahead, and make a smirk,
and giggle, make a crack, for all, to laugh.
For I know, the shoe, will be put on the other foot,
and you be the joke for someone's own behalf.
