Love Poem: A Itch

A Itch

The desire for God’s mercy on me
A wicked sinner without any hope
Caused me to bend a knee in plea
That God grant new ways to cope

The yearning for a second chance
To begin my life with God’s grace
Across my heart and spirits dance
It is after His love I do bid a chase

The hunger for a true forgiveness
Called out into my breathless soul
Although I’m truly not too religious
His love was sure to make me whole

The craving I had for a relationship
With the Son of God, my best friend
The one who is the earths authorship
Any amount I had for Him I’d spend

The pining for a love so very sweet
Sent me to a place of total reverence
Where I knew that we would meet
This One who made all the difference

The longing for this One I needed
Sent me to the welcoming Savior
It would always be Him I pleaded
When I needed a new behavior

The itch for grace from up above
Covered me with a fresh focus
I knew that He was the true love
The king of kings who was chosen

With Him, I now have reassurance
That after I die, I’ll make it to heaven
Despite sin that was a usual occurrence
Now I’m so very thankful of my blessing
