Love Poem: A Home In Eden

A Home In Eden

Adam's Home was a garden not the White House
It was constructed as a palace for the first spouse
Its builder and draughtsman being God
On earth there was none, not even one abroad

The Heavens was Adam's starry roof
Changing seasons of God’s unquestionable proof
The earth was his humble floor
Fitted with a Cedar-Caven door

It was adorned with a glittering golden shade
Never was there any home so richly laid
The flowers as he trod kissed his feet
A garden fragrance that calls for sheet

From it flows a glorious fountain of old
It runs into Havilah, where there's gold
And the gold of that Land is good
A Land that was often misunderstood

Such are the facade of this glorious structure
A very elegant piece of iconic architecture
A beautiful theme for a poetic pen
This was the wisdom of God and not of men

In the midst of the garden is a Tree of Life
Adorned with blooms, prepared for His wife
A mystery, a pattern of the heavenly glory
I can't write more of this detailed love story

 A delightful and charming scene
A beautiful Home you've never seen
On earth there was none like theirs
Solomon in all his glory still marveled at theirs

And when He comes to receive us after our retirement
He will reward each one with His furnished apartment
A beautiful lodge for the Bride's reception
A glory that's beyond earthly description
