Love Poem: A Gentle World

A Gentle World

If only we can hold on and love one another
Like the lion and the lamb, side by side
allowing love to be our guide

Let the dove fly high in the sky
the same way it flew from Noah’s Arc
Returning with an olive leaf to let us
know the world is now at peace

Tear down the walls like they did in Jericho
so we can see and hear what peace looks and
sounds like
No more sounds of bombs falling from the skies
No more weeping and wailing, our tear stained
eyes are dry

Harboring hatred and evil in our hearts, this
world will never be at peace

Oh, what a Gentle Place so many people long
for this world to be
