A Game of Seduction

The horse trotted briskly as it approached the gate
Its petite rider examined the man waiting outside
He managed to mumble something about being late
But his attraction to her he could not hide

After asking a few questions she made him an offer
But he had gotten lost in her blue eyes
The questions she asked, he couldn't remember
That he was under her spell was no surpise

She had powers greater than he could imagine
For she was well steeped in the black arts
A game of seduction he could not win
She was seducing him right from the start

His desire for her kept building each day
He wasn't the first to have romantic intentions for her
He didn't consider that he was the prey
Like others before him, his demise did not cause a stir
