A Frozen Moment In Time

Stop and freeze, my love, for a moment,
lets capture this frame of time for the future,
This image is all that will remain of us present,
to tell the future, the family love we nurture.

Me and you, sister, Mum and Dad and friends,
Are evidence of bonding and love we share,
The love wave that will flow towards their ends,
As with fleeting moments of time we disappear.

This moment in time on this grassy spot,
Engrossed as you are on James Dean’s tragedy,
Mum and dad review their sweet time forgot,
All yet unaware of a man called Kennedy!

Life is so happy, we have home TV show,
Peanut cartoon and hilarious Lucille Ball,
We are in a new era when dreams grow,
All the world is at peace after a close call!

So look them in the eye during this photograph,
To tell the story of our struggles and resilience,
This black and white dotted print is an autograph,
Of us who lived once but now lost to silence!
