A Farewell Letter, From Me To You
I write this heartfelt letter from my heart to yours
to say goodbye as I leave this wonderful life we made.
In complete adoration my sincere heart pours,
and as I say farewell know my love will not fade.
For all the years I had with you… I would not trade.
I sought goodness and I found that in your heart.
You make my soul shine in complete affection.
Even though I am leaving we shan’t ever part,
for we share an unyielding and perpetual connection.
My sweet beloved, our love is pure perfection.
I was barely a lady when we met in school days.
You were older than me, I was just a young teen.
But you saw my eyes and you said they did amaze
you at first glance; for they were the perfect scene.
O, sweet man, you are my everything in between.
So many years we shared and still I beg for more,
but God has other plans for my body and soul.
I tell you this, I promise there is more good in store,
you will find joy once again and it will fill you whole.
For you are the only man that I ever did adore.
We created the most beautiful daughter, didn’t we?
A young lady is she and so unbelievably kind.
You are a wonderful daddy to her and always will be,
for your heart and hers will always be aligned.
Another loving daddy like you she shan’t ever find.
Farewell…my sweetness,
my true completeness-
My body may be gone,
but baby, not for long.
For one day we’ll meet
again on God’s street.
