Love Poem: A Dult

A Dult

I am in denial of being an adult
That's why I don't have a job
That's why I'll stay in school
As long as they'll let me

I am in denial of being an adult
That's why I hate to drive
And try to love everyone around me
Think positive, think positive
Don't think of all the bad people
You know you cannot trust
With a penny

I am in denial of being an adult
Trying to avoid these situations
Where fears will come into play
All that fear and worry
Can only make me look older

I am in denial of being an adult
I just want to sleep all day
And watch my metabolism plummet
And fall in love with some stupid girl
So I won't have to find the real one

I am in denial of being grown up
Nothing about it seems to appeal to me
Nothing about it gives me comfort
