Love Poem: A Distant Sky

A Distant Sky

We both had wings clipped yet we could still fly...
A loss for words moistened a tear that wouldn't dry...
Now just two lost souls in the pouring rain...
Left to fly free and hold an overflowing pain...
I couldn't write poem that would turn your head...
Now stranded on a path where a heart sits dead...
Even into today I can still taste that sweet smile...
Its more then words or worlds that create these miles...
Each day I blow a kiss to a cloudy distant sky...
Hoping that just one day one kiss may find your eye...
