Love Poem: A Different Mystery

A Different Mystery

Walk with me
for I know how the wings of life embrace you
it shall reveal its secret dance
upon its choreograph of hearts
and so entwined
as if with hand in hand our fingers clasp
together to follow in a perpetual path

Come walk with me
let me follow you through your forest deep
let me lay you upon its bed of leaves
there to count their years
for in such a dreamy wandering
spend the hours in sunlight dappling
within the shelter of its loving canopy

Come, walk this spirits passage with me
take me to the verdant valley
and with a hymn to set me naked on its green
come rest yourself beside me
teach me of its whispering
and with sacred cup
lift this love to the waters brim

Take my hand
for each of us know and understand
a different mystery
and upon the pool with unusual stones
have plunged with such into the soul
the ripples of each other still yet we know
as if a wish in fluid parchments dissolved

Come, hear my echo
it sings to you from mountain peak
it stand with you bare foot upon the earth
and in its symphony speaks to me of you
and ever in its sweetest tone
places your kiss upon my lips
for ever in your language sounds my heart

Let me follow you
let me trespass with you into the yet unknown
come sit beside me
for I know how the wings of life embrace you
I know how in its arms love can carry you
for each of us know and understand
a different mystery
