A Day With the Gods -- Part 2 of 2

I left thanking Poseidon,
Heading towards Mount Olympus,
Approaching more than any mortal,
Just to see it would whim us.
I met Aphrodite,
In all her perfection,
And begged of this Goddess,
Of love and affection.
"I need this man more than the air Aeolus provides on,
I need him more than the waters of Poseidon,
I need him more than Apollo's bright sun,
And more than the harvest Demetra gives everyone.
You're the Goddess of love,
You know love's unknowns,
But, Goddess I love him,
It aches in my bones.
But Gaia can't help me,
Her earth can't bridge our gap,
And Poseidon can't help me,
Reach him in a snap.
Aphrodite, I need him,
For as long as I live.
And you know I'd give anything,
But I've nothing to give.
So please spare me Goddess,
Just let me love him so pure.
Because of this love you gave me,
There just isn't a cure."
Aphrodite gazed down at me,
And gave me a smile.
Said "I haven't heard of a love
So real in a while.
I've watched down on Earth,
For many a year,
Most people fake love,
While others just fear.
But you, my dear, child.
You love absolutely,
Your love reassures me,
For I've watched you acutely.
You and this man
Are destined to be,
For the way that you love,
Is on a different degree.
I admire you, dear child,
So this wish I will give.
I'll bring you to your love,
Together you'll live.
You and your love will be the reflection,
I present to the world,
As love's total perfection."
With her last words I held him,
As we shared true loves kiss,
And as models to all living,
We lived in love's bliss.
