A Broken Victory
A victory found to be hollow and not worth a dime
for in destroying your spirit I seem to have lost mine
Justice sometimes comes upon us so very swift
like a well earned and shocking little gift
I found bountiful benefit from mine
for a guiding light it did also shine
As a path it did so desperately send me on
far away from a hateful and wicked throne
One of us had to finally give
so both of us could finally live
Would have been better had it been you
