Love Poem: A Black Rose

A Black Rose

Peeling away crimsons petals upon this black made rose

Given unto myself long ago, amid a bouquet of thorns

A cold and bitter day within, the winter of my tilling youth....

Tears like blood dripping from cancerous roots

Its prevalent poisoned stem attached unto

My weeping Spirit ~

Crawling through the carnage of this carnal flesh....

Botanical biological bulimia, winding its way alongst

The metaphoric paths; these thickets wherein it thrives

Resolute arrangements, from the beginning of soiled time

Time, peeling away paragons petals laced in carmine....
