That Was Then and This Is Now: (Part 4) Look To This Day

look to this day for now is life
you're already in it because of Jesus the Christ

your life should not only begin
on the day that your ship finally comes in
so stop waiting for the future now is the time to cope
the glory is in the action, the slendor is in the hope
fully experience the now and stop the procrastination
today is the gift in hand and not the anticipation
life is happening right now so don't wait for tomorrow
redeem the time so you won't have neither regrets nor sorrow

look to this day and learn to love with a fullness of heart
with all your soul, all your mind and all the strength you have to impart
God said to love the church as we love Him
for the church is His bride where His spirit dwells within
to truly love yourself and come to understand
that God formed you perfectly with a purposeful hand

so let go of those inner fears and the issues you possess
to accept yourself with a fullness is what you need to stress
to love your fellow man and come to comprehend
that we're all God's children we're more than just friends
for love is more than a second-hand emotion
love is the action that compels us into motion

for without love there is nothing in this life
without love there would be no Jesus the Christ
love must be demonstrated for it is a verb
so display and show it according to the Holy word
love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy nor boast
it's not rude nor self-serving love is the presence of the Holy Ghost

look to this day and learn to laugh frequently
and not to take life so seriously
for you are to blessed to ever be stressed
just fully embrace the joy that God has sent your way
to live life and laugh fully each and every day

look to this day and learn to live by God's word
to have a faith and belief that lines up with all from Him you've heard
to develop a relationship with God that transcends
and goes beyond anything that you have with mere men

to love fully, to laugh frequently and to live faithfully is the way
for that was then and this is now so look to this day
