Love Poem: Tangled Vines

Tangled Vines

O Fate
Why do you run late
Past, Present and Future
Like tangled vines
You keep me in bondage
Bonded in a life of slavery
Bonded like Sisyphus
Bonded like Ahab
To an aim so precious
Like Narcissus
In love with his image
Such do I see this adage
Even if fate
Past, Present and Future
Like tangled vines
Blows me up like mines
Shatters me up like glass panes
Lovely twists
Hateful twists
All are my own dues!
Yet, I shall wage this battle
And be like the shepherd's cattle
Till shall come the time
To shed my disguise
And be the lone wolf
Mistress of her own fate!
